w/b 11th March

This week, the Y3s and I are off to Goodwood, from Tuesday until Thursday. The Y4s will be well looked after by Mrs Murphy, Mrs Watts and Mrs Allfrey.

Maths:

Yr3 will be learning about equivalent masses on Nonday and then comparing masses on Friday.

Yr4s will be looking at tenths as decimals, then on a place value chart and on a number line. By the end of the week they will  be dividing a 1 digit and a 2 digit number by 10, looking at what happens when the answer is not a whole  number using decimals.

Literacy

On Monday we will be writing our diaries in the role of the golden fish. For the rest of the week, Mrs Murphy will be working with the Y4s on a stand-alone literacy unit, working on handwriting, presentation and spelling.

RE

We will be exploring church practise this week. With Easter around the corner, we will be asking what place Jesus as saviour has in our church services. How does celebrating Jesus' death and resurrection inspire Christians to help others?

A reminder that Friday is Red Nose Day. Please see all communication between school and home with regards to this day.
