YEAR 1 library trip this Wednesday afternoon. Please bring in your library card.

Literacy - This week we will be researching whales using the internet, books and clips. We will be focusing on non fiction writing. We will be planning a non chronological report, creating a fact file about them, answering some questions about a passage we read about them and researching a sea animal of our own.

Phonics/Spellings- Year 2 will be revising compound words, adding the suffixes ed, ing and er and practising the common exception words.

Year 1 will be looking at the higher level 5 switch it sounds and tricky words. 

Maths- Year 2 will be solving missing number calculations involving the different calculations, practising their times tables and solving word problems involving the four operations. 

Year 1 will be finding 1 more, 1 less,  comparing numbers with the same number of tens and comparing any two numbers.

Science - Year 2 will be exploring what wildlife does for us. 

Geography - We will be exploring the ocean habitat and the different levels. We will be mapping out the oceans and seas.

Computing - Year 1 will be developing their coding skills and year 2 will be completing a piece of music to share with the class. 

Art - We will be continuing our architecture we have been creating.

RE - We will be finding out about Shabbat and how and why Jewish people celebrate this.

RSE - We will be discussing online safety.
