This week is our last week before Christmas!

 

Monday in the afternoon we will be going to the church for 2pm to watch the reception Nativity play and be part of the carol concert.

 

Wednesday will be Christmas Chartwells lunch

 

Thursday will be Christmas packed lunch and party in the afternoon.

 

Literacy- This week we will be writing a class poem about Christmas, a senses Christmas poem with a repeating line and look at some different poems. 

 

Maths - Year 2 will continue to work on money. They will be making the same amount in different ways, add amounts in a Christmas shop and then find changes, we will also be practising our adding and subtraction in a Christmas maths challenge.

 

Year 1 - we are learning 17, 18, 19 and 20, 1 more 1 less, the number line to 20, estimate on a number line to 20 and compare numbers to 20.

 

Phonics - Year 2 will be practising their common exception words and will be having their phonics checked.

 

Year 1 - we are learning the aw and wh sounds this week.

 

We will be doing some Christmas crafts and activities including sewing a bauble, Christmas card and calendar.
