Ash Class

Online Learning - Monday 19th July, 2021.

Good Morning Ash Class.

This work is for anybody who is isolating at home.  If you are at home please do send in the work as usual on dojo.

Maths

Today we start to look at position and direction and you will be learning about co-ordinates.  Please choose one of the videos to follow and one worksheet to complete.

Literacy

Can you complete a reading comprehension from below.

OR

If you'd rather, watch the short video 'Adrift' by clicking on the link below.  Once you've watched the video, think about and discuss  the following questions.

How do you think the girl is feeling at the beginning of the film?  Why?

Why is she excited to see the boy?

What kind of conversation do you think the boy and girl might have?

What happens at the end?

How is the girl feeling now?

Your task is to write a short story based on this film.  Make sure you include punctuation, lots of description and even some direct speech, showing the conversation between the girl and boy.

Religious Education

In RE over the last half term, we have been exploring Karma in Hinduism.  In order to summarise this unit, I wonder if you can create a poster.  The poster should be all about Karma.  Can you include the following vocabulary and ideas:

Moksha, Karma, the sacred thread ceremony, re-incarnation.

Below is a powerpoint in case you need a recap!

If you get stuck with anything do get in touch through dojo, I'm here to help!

6. Create something out of other items around your house - junk, other toys - be creative

7. Write a news report on whats going on

8. Get out into the garden - do some gardening, ride a bike/scooter. Get some fresh air and exercise

9. Play board games or complete puzzles

The list could go on...
