Oak Class

If you want to continue your learning at home, take a look at our class page to find out about our new topic and do your best to follow the daily tasks I set. You can send me photos of your work via Dojo.

Please see the Oak Class page for information about your child's weekly learning and how you can reinforce this at home.

Below are some fun activities that you may wish to do at home...

Reading:

Read at least 5 times a week to an adult and make sure your reading diary is completed. You can also share books with your family that you may have at home or become a member of your local library and borrow books. During the summer holidays the libraries run reading challenges in which children can participate.

Maths:

The White Rose Hub is offering a free 'Problem of the Day' which you could sign up for & challenge your child to. Primary Stars has a fantastic website offering free resources for parents at this time but you may need a printer should you wish to use this. Maths Shed is another great website!

Your child also has a log in for TT Rockstars so perhaps you can challenge yourself and learn the next times table!

Writing:

Your children are always to encouraged to write at any opportunity! Why not keep a diary over the next few days / weeks? Or ask your child to write a shopping list before your next trip to the supermarket. They could write a story about an adventure in the garden with mythical creatures or an enchanted wood.

Purple Mash:

Your child has a Purple Mash login. This site offers a wealth of activities for your child to do from creative tasks and phonics practice to emailing.
