SPORTS DAY THURSDAY

 

Literacy - This week we are using the text 'The Day the Crayons Quit'. We will be writing a character description using adjectives and writing a diary entry as if we are one of the crayons. We will also be completing some comprehension questions about the text.

 

Phonics/Spelling -We will be revising some of the phonics and spellings patterns learnt and playing some games to reinforce these.

 

Year 1 will also be revising all the phase 5 phonics sounds they have learnt this year through games and activities.

 

Maths- Year 2 will be revising money. We will be adding items in a shop role play and then finding change. We will be answering some word problems about money.

 

Year 1 will continue learning about time. We will be telling time to the hour and to the half hour.

 

Geography - We will be exploring the ocean levels

 

Art - We will be creating some sea pictures.
