This is our Christmas Play week!! The children have been working so hard and so excited to share our play with those watching.
Literacy - This week we will be using the text 'Let's Save Antarctica'. We will be making notes in order to draft a non chronological report. We will be illustrating this and presenting it for others to read.
Maths - Year 2 will be working on money. We will be counting pence, pounds, making the same amount and comparing amounts.
Year 1 - will be learning to count within 20, understand 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19.
Phonics - Year 2 will be practising their common exception words in a variety of different ways.
Year 1 - we are learning the ir, ou, aw, sounds this week.
Science - Year 1 will be exploring the sense of taste and touch this week. Year 2 will be completing sequencing how plastic is recycled.
Topic - When we are not doing Christmas pay we will be finding out more about Antarctic explorers and inuits.
R.E- We are writing ‘thank you’ prayers and sentences. What might people in the story (Mary, Joseph, shepherds, angel) have said at different moments?
RSHE- Why does our bodies need rest? How does it feel to relax?
