SWIMMING NOW TUESDAYS and WEDNESDAYS

We had a very successful first swimming session on Wednesday and I was amazed at the children's confidence in the water. I have now managed to secure 2 swimming lessons a week for Reception, these will be on Tuesday and Wednesday. 

In drawing club, we will be reading and watching 'Bluey - Fruit bat'. We will be drawing Bluey, drawing the fruit bat and thinking about what animal we would like to turn into and where we would go. We will also be comparing Australian animals to animals in the UK.

We are also continuing to be making mini worlds in a shoe box. If you could bring in any shoe boxes in to school that would be amazing. 

We will also be continuing with our Sunflower Challenge, observing how our seedlings are growing, and beginning to plan a sunflower party for the parents. We want to tell everyone what we have learnt about sunflowers and grwoing. We will be using our class calendar to count how many days until the party.  

In phonics, this week we will be continuing with Basics 4. We will be reading and writing words with 4 letters polysyllabic CVCC and CCVC words 

In maths we will be revising our number bonds of numbers up to  10. We will also be sharing numbers and revising odd and even numbers.
