Transition Morning is Wednesday. 

Theatre trip to Zog on Thursday afternoon.

Literacy - This week we will be reading Flotsam and planning and writing a piece of writing show casing our skills we've learnt this year. We will also be writing a review of our theatre trip to Zog!!

Phonics/ Spellings - Year 2 will be using this week to gov over some of the spelling patterns from the year that we need some extra practice on for example words ending es, or (making an er as in world), dge and ge.

Year 1 are consolidating their stage 5 phonics knowledge this week by writing some silly sentences and playing phonics games.

Maths - Year 2 will be consolidating their work on fractions by finding fractions of numbers and amounts, solving word problems and understanding 1/2 = 2/4 We will also be solving some maths challenge questions which are more investigative.

Year 1 will be starting a new maths topic about money. We will be recognising coins, notes and counting in coins. Please show your children some coins and notes at home and see if they can recognise them.

Geography -We will be continuing to find our about the continents around the world and complete our booklets about them. Can you name all the continents and oceans?

Science -Year 2 will ne exploring what we can do for the wildlife around us. Year 1 will be consolidating some of their learning on seasons.

Swimming - We will be continuing to develop our swimming confidence and style.
