In drawing club, we will be reading the story 'The Naughty Bus.' We will be drawing the bus, the bus' journey and designing a new vehicle where will it go?
We will also be continuing with our Sunflower Challenge, continuing to paint sunflowers. We will also be exploring the seed packets and seeing what we notice and what we can find out about what sunflowers look like, how to plant them, when to plant them, what are the different types of sunflowers, where we can buy them from and to see if we can spot any numbers and words on the seed packets. We will think about what makes a good pot for a sunflower seed? Why do we need a good pot? Do all seeds need to start in a pot? Does nature need a pot? We will measure using our fingers to see which pot is the best.
In phonics, this week we will be recapping the sounds ow, oi, er, ear and writing sentences with these sounds. We are focusing on all the tricky words we have learnt so far.
In maths, we are continuing to focus on numbers from 11-20. We will be swapping numbers around what mistakes have we made? We will play maths games such as number bingo and race to 20.
