Wk Beg 6th Jan

Happy New Year! We are looking forward to find out all about your Christmas news. We will read the story 'The Three Little Pigs.' and create a story map of where the pigs lived. We will be going on a Winter walk to see what signs of winter we can see.

 

In drawing club, we will be introducing new vocabulary such as sinister, cowering, sturdy, hair raising. We will be drawing the the wolf, the pigs house, a gadget to help destroy the house and catching the wolf and making him into a pie. We will be using our code words and passcodes to make funny things happen.

 

In phonics this week, we will be recapping the sounds we have already learnt and segmenting and blending lots of CVC words.

 

In maths, we are learning one less than a number. We will sing different nursery rhymes, and discuss how we represent 0. We will then be comparing numbers to 5. We will have different plates of food. Which has more/less?
