This week will be busy!

We have our trip to the beach on Monday.

Tuesday morning we have our second transition morning. 

Sports day is on Thursday.

In literacy we will be using the text 'The Magic Finger' by Roald Dahl and we will be enjoying the story as a class and discussing the events. We will be writing about the characters and about our trip.

Maths - year 2 will be exploring shape patterns and turns and practising their times tables. 

Year 1 will be starting a new maths topic this week on Money. We will be learning to recognise different coins, notes and how much they are worth. You can help your child at home by showing them different coins and notes and even allowing them to purchase something small using coins. 

Phonics - year 2 will be revising some of the spelling patterns we have covered recently.

Year 1 will be learning different spelling pattern and adding suffixes to the end of root words. 

Science - Year 1 will be recalling the changes in each season and will be considering how we can help our wildlife.

Geography - We will be exploring who can see the sea and labelling the oceans of the world.

Design and Technology - Those children who haven't yet completed their hand puppet will be completing these.
