Maths

Yr 5 - We are on our final week of Place Value. We will comparing and ordering numbers to 1,000,000 and rounding numbers to the nearest 10, 100, 1000,10000,100000.

Yr 4  - We will be looking at numbers up to 10,000 on a number line and rounding numbers to the nearest 10, 100 and 1,000.

Literacy in Ash - 

We will be continue to use 'Escape from Pompeii' and will be revising the use of fronted adverbials within our writing. We will be focusing on using powerful vocabulary to improve our descriptive writing. We will be writing a description about Pompeii at the start of our story.

Literacy in Maple Class - 

Science

Yr 3 - This week we will be naming and identifying bones in animals.

Yr 4 - We will be introduced to classification keys and using these to sort different animals.

Yr 5 - We will complete our parachute investigation and then evaluate our investigation. 

History

Art

This week we will be drawing using a ruler. We will be focus on tonal values, colour, shape and/or composition for form.

RE

We will begin to dig deeper...Christians respond to the idea of God as omnipotent, eternal etc. We will explore church architecture. What do cathedrals show about what Christians believe about God?

Computing

Yr 5 - We will be using Vectr to create effective drawings. We will be moving, resizing and rotating objects.

Yr 4 - We will be learning how to use the 'repeat' command on 2logo.
