Maths

Yr 4 - We will be adding and subtracting fractions including mixed numbers.

Yr 5 - We will be learning all about percentages and their decimal and fraction equivalents.

Literacy

We will begin this week by reading our new text, 'Counting on Katherine' by Helaine Becker. We will be exploring the key themes and vocabulary as well as make connections to other books and the wider world. We will begin to create a character profile of Katherine Johnson.

Science

Yr 3 - We will be learning about the sun as a light source.

Yr 4 - This week we will get the electrical equipment out to learn about and build series circuits.

Yr 5 - We will be continuing learning about the human life cycle. Last week we learnt about babies and children, this week we will learn about adolescents. 

RE

This week we will be looking at Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Our questions are:

• Would it matter if the resurrection hadn't happened?
• Why is Easter Sunday seen by Christians as a day of hope?

Computing

Yr 4 - Continuing with AI, this week we will be looking at different ways in which artificial intelligence can help us.

Yr 5 - We will be levelling up this week! Using our maze game from last week, we will add another level to our game.
