Literacy in Maple Class

This week we are planning and writing our diaries. The children will be encouraged to bring together all the elements of writing that we have learnt so far including adjectives, nouns, verbs, conjunctions, prepositions and commas in a list. 

 

Maths

We are starting our new unit this week on Addition and Subtraction. Year 3 will be adding and subtracting 1s and 10s across 10 and 100. Year 4 will be learning how to add and subtract 4 digit numbers, looking at what happens when there is an exchange. 

 

RE

We will be finding out what ideas we all have of the Trinity so far. Are we almost ready to answer our Big Question confidently? What else do we still need to find out?

 

History

Y3 We are learning about Stonehenge this week. 

Y4 We are looking at Shang artefacts this week. 

Y5 We are learning about Anglo-Saxon gods this week. 

 

Computing

Y3 We will be editing our images and text this week. 

Y4 Lesson 2 of 2Logo this week, we will be creating capital letters and writing the code for the tracker to follow. 

 

NO ART lesson this week as we have our Harvest Service at the church on Thursday afternoon from 2pm.
