Welcome back and Happy New Year! I hope you had a lovely Christmas break. 

 

Maths: 

We are carrying on with multiplication and division this half term. We will be paying particular attention to our times tables so be sure to continue practising at home. 

 

Literacy:

We will start our half term with our independent writing task. The children really enjoy this opportunity to choose what they write about so please discuss ideas with your child at home to inspire them. 

 

RE:

We will be focusing on Islam this half term and asking the bog question, 'How does a Muslim show their submission and obedience to Allah?' I wonder who you would listen to and obey in a tricky situation. How and why do Muslims obey the call to prayer? Do you think it might be good for everyone to stop several times a day to pray or think quietly?

 

History:
