PE kits to be worn on Thursday please.

 

This week we are learning about Diwali and how and why Hindus celebrate. We will be making Diwas from clay and looking at rangoli patterns. We will also be talking about fireworks, we will be making some different firework paintings and will be finding out why we celebrate Bonfire night.

 

We are also extremely excited for Drawing Club. We will be reading the story "A Dark, Dark tale" and learning new words such as dreary, isolated, pitch black, shocked and misty.  We will be attempting to write a cvc word to make funny things happen to the characters and settings.

 

In phonics, we will be learning the sounds h, b, f and l and the tricky words I, is, to, the, no, go, has, his, as, of, into. We will continue to write our names and this week and practise our handwriting.

 

In maths this week, we will be finding 4 and 5 and subitising 4 and 5 and then representing 4 and 5. 

We will also be using circles and triangles to make rangoli patterns.
