On Thursday 19th June the Yr 5's will be going to MRC for a Yr 5 Sports Event. They will be competing in a range of athletic events and fun sports day style events. The children will need to wear their school PE kits, take a packed lunch, water bottle, sun hat and suncream. We will be outside on the sports field all day where there isn't very much shade.
Maths
Yr 4 - We are starting a new unit on Statistics. We will be interpreting charts and graphs and learning how to read and draw line graphs.
Yr 5 - This week we will be starting a little unit on Negative Numbers. We will be ordering and comparing using negative numbers and finding difference.
Literacy
We will be applying the grammar that we have learnt throughout the year with some short burst writing tasks.
Science
Yr 3 - We will be learning about pollination and seed dispersal.
Yr 4 - We will be learning about the different layers of our teeth and will plan a tooth decay investigation.
Yr 5 - Having learnt about soluble, insoluble and solutions, this week we will be learning about sieving and filtering substances.
RE
We will be concluding our Hinduism unit and going back to answer our big questions: How does the story of Rama and Sita inspire Hindus to follow their Dharma?
Computing
Continuing with Animations, this week we will look at onion skinning.
