Literacy- This week we will be using the book 'Smeds and the Smoos'. We will be considering how the characters feel at various points in the story, using conjunctions like and, because to explain how they were feeling, answer questions on the book and plan and write a letter home pretending to be Bill or Janet.
Phonics - Year 1 will be learning the /or/ /aw/ and and /w/ /wh/ sounds and exploring these within words.
Year 2 will be exploring words ending in y and what happens when you add ing.
Maths- Year 2 will be comparing amounts of money, calculating with money, making a pound, finding change and solving 2 step problems.
Year 1 will be understanding 20, solving 1 more 1 less and using a number line to 20.
Science - Year 1 will be finding out about birds and fish.
Year 2 will be finding out what do plants need o grow well?
History - We will be exploring early travel, including Viking long boat travel.
Art- We will be taking rubbings.
RE - We will be finding out about Rosh Hanah in relation to our big question.
Computing - We will continue to develop out skills from last week.
