Maths
Yr 4 - We are starting a new unit on Addition and Subtraction. This week we will be adding and subtraction 1, 10 and 100 to a given number and then focusing on using the column method to add remembering to exchange.
Yr 5 - We will be using the column method to add and subtract to solve word problems
Literacy in Ash
We are working toward writing an eye witness account of the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. We will be looking at figurative language such as similies, onomatopoeia etc.
Science
Yr 3 - Our final lesson on our Skeletons unit, we will be answering the question, 'Are all skeletons the same?'
Yr 4 - The other week we learnt how to use classification keys to group animals. This week we will be using classification keys to group plants.
Yr 5 - After planning our water resistance experiment, this week we will carry it out to find out if the shapes of an objects affects the time it takes to sink.

Computing
Yr 4 - We will be using Logo to write the code to produce pictures.
Yr 5 - Continuing with Vectr, we will be manipulating our drawings by adding layers.
RE
We will be beginning to make connections so that we can answer our big question: What does it mean if God is holy and loving? We will be looking and reflecting how biblical ideas and teachings about God as holy and loving might make a difference in the world today.
