Arundel castle trip this week.

Literacy - We will be using the text 'The Sandcastle'. We will writing our our experiences of being at the seaside. We will be considering the feelings of the characters during parts of the story and explaining in full sentences why they feel that way. We will be answering questions about the text. Also, after our trip to Arundel Castle we will be writing a recount in past test.

Phonics /spellings - Year 2 will be exploring the spelling pattern al and revising the ones learnt last week. We will be also, revising the possessive apostrophe.

Year 1 will be looking at different spelling rules. Adding /s/ or /es/ to the end of words and adding ing. 

Maths- Year 2 will be learning about tables, block diagrams, drawing pictograms 1:1 and interpreting pictograms 1:1.

Year 1 will be describing position, above and below and ordinal numbers and then moving on to a new maths topic of place value within a 100. 

Geography - We will be exploring seasides past and present. 

Design and Technology - We will be creating our templates for our puppets.

Computing - Year 1 will be maze explorers. Year 2 will be making music on computers.
