Become a Governor at Fittleworth Village School!
We are looking for Parent Governors and Co-opted Governors to join our team and help shape the future of our school.
Being a governor is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the school’s strategic direction, support staff and pupils, and make a real difference in our community. Whether it’s overseeing school development, managing budgets, or enhancing facilities, governors play a vital role in ensuring the school thrives.
As a parent of children who have attended the school and a governor for the past five years, I can confidently say this experience has been incredibly rewarding. It has allowed me to apply my workplace knowledge and expertise to help guide the school’s strategic direction. From participating in discussions about academisation with other Rother Valley schools to contributing to the design and development of improved playground spaces, I have seen firsthand how governance can make a real impact.
Working closely with our pre-school provider to manage shared spaces, reviewing the school budget, and planning for the future are all vital aspects of the role. Equally important is listening to our dedicated admin and teaching staff as they educate and inspire our children. My fellow governors and I are committed to ensuring the school upholds its Christian Values and School Vision while providing strong strategic leadership.
If you’re passionate about educational governance and keen to get involved, we’d love to hear from you. Please take a look at the pack on the website for more information and consider joining us in this meaningful and impactful role!
