Christmas play performance week! The children have been working so hard practising and are looking forward to performing their play to you this week. 

Literacy - This week we will be completing a piece of independent writing. The children will be given time to plan and then write. Year 2 will be also encouraged to proof read their work using a 'purple pen'. We also will be writing a Christmas senses poem and answering some questions about a given poem.

Phonics- Year 2 will be practising their common exception words and revising alternative spellings which need practise.

Year 1 - will be learning the /oi/ and /ir/ choose to use sounds.

Maths- Year 2 will be completing their shape unit, revising addition and subtraction arithmetic, solving missing number problems, solving word problems and practising their number bonds. 

Year 1 will be revising number bonds to 10, subtraction arithmetic and missing number problems. 

RE - We will be making our own nativity scenes using lolly pop people and choosing the 6 most important characters, explaining their choices. 

Computing - Year 1 will be creating a pictogram. Year 2 will be searching on the Purple Mash program. 

Science - Year 1 will be investigating materials. Year 2 will be exploring how plastic is harmful to our world.
