Maths

Yr 4 - We are starting a new unit this week, Decimals. We will be learning all about tenths; as decimals, fractions, placing them on a number line and on a place value chart.

Yr 5 - This week we are starting a lovely new unit on Area and Perimeter. We will begin with calculating the perimeter of rectangles before moving onto other shapes, then at the end of the week we will do the same for the area.

Yr 3 - We will finished our work on shadows and look further into opaque, translucent and transparent objects.

Yr 4 - We will be continuing our work on electrical conductors and insulators. We will be investigating which materials are conductors and which are insulators.

Yr 5 - We will be continuing with our human lifecycle and discuss the adult and eldery stage of life. 

 

DT

Having been split into groups for our cooking, the first 2 groups will take to the kitchen on Wednesday morning with Mrs Watts. They will be cooking a different rice based dish for us all to taste. We will then carry out a taste test, identifying the ingredients and tastes within the dishes.

 

Computing

Yr 4 - We will be looking at AI in action and how it can be used to make music and art.

Yr 5 - Continuing with Scratch, this week we will code a 'Splat' games.
