Welcome Back!

We hope you have all had a lovely break and enjoyed Easter. 

We have a short 5 week half term so have lots to do!

Maths
Yr 4 - We will be continuing with Decimals to begin with, making a whole using tenths and hundredths, partitioning and comparing decimals. 

Yr 5 - Our unit to begin with is Shape. We will be learning about degrees and angles. We will be learning how to use a protractor, measuring angles up to 180degrees and drawing angles accurately.

Literacy

In Literacy this half term, our learning will be based around a book called 'The Barnabus Project'. 

To begin with we will be exploring the text and the characters. 

Art

Our Art topic for this half term is Sculpture. We will be looking at architecture - dreaming big and small.

This week we will be exploring some amazing architectural homes. 

RE

This half term we will be exploring the Hindu faith. 

Our big question is:

How does the story of Rama and Sita inspure Hindus to follow their dharma?

Computing

Yr 4 - This term we will be using the Microbits. We will begin to program them to be a step counter.

Yr 5 - We will be using Purple Mash for the purpose of being a Game Creator. This week we will be setting the scene. We wll use 2DIY3D and begin to plan our game.
