Maths
We are working through our Shape unit this week, learning about turns, angles, right angles, quadrilaterals and symmetry.
Literacy
We are beginning our new book this week, The Firework-Maker's Daughter, written by Phillip Pullman. It would be so useful if your child has their own copy of the book so we can read along together. We will be making inferences about the character's feelings, thoughts and opinions before diving into the story.
RE
We will be thinking about what key beliefs Hindus have about life and death.
Computing
We will be looking at animation this half term. We will begin by looking at existing animations and considering how they are made.
History
Y3: We are learning the Maya number system.
Y4: We will be finding out about Boudicca and why she lead a rebellion.
Y5: We will be learning the story of Eweka.
DT
This half term, we will be learning about an Edible Garden. We will begin by learning about herbs, and make our own pesto (no nuts) to put onto of some pasta.
