w/b 2nd June 2025

This week sees the start of our swimming timetable! We always aim to take the children swimming twice a week if we can but sometimes this is not always possible due to reasons outside of our control. It is important that children are organised and prepared for swimming on our days... which will be MONDAY mornings and THURSDAY mornings. A clean swim kit needs to be brought into school on these two days, which will include a swimsuit / shorts, goggles, a swim hat, a towel, pool shoes (crocs are ideal) and a spare hoodie to wear over school uniform, just to provide a little extra warmth once out of the pool. Swim kits need to be taken home each time, dried out thoroughly and brought to school again for the next swimming slot.

Year 3s also get to enjoy Forest Schools this half term on TUESDAY afternoons. For this day, they will wear their PE kits to school as normal, and bring forest clothes in a separate bag ready to change into at lunchtime. This bag will include long sleeves, long trousers, socks, trainers / walking boots, and a waterproof jacket (we still go to the forest if its pouring with rain!) A plastic bag may prove useful for muddy / wet things when we return to school.

Year 4 will be taught as a year group in the afternoons on Tuesdays with me, Mrs Westbrook, whilst Mrs Murphy takes the Year 5s.

PE days are the same, TUESDAYS and WEDNESDAYS.
