Forest School is Tuesday.

Literacy - This week we will be using the text 'Meerkat Mail'. We will be focusing on using finger spaces, capital letters and full stops and year 2 using question marks. We will be writing questions to Sunny, writing a postcard to him, creating a missing poster, writing a postcard from Sunny pretending he visited Fittleworth and answering questions about the book.

Phonics - Year 2 will be revising the alternative spelling patterns for ay, ea and ie. We will also be working of our weekly spelling pattern and our common exception words.

Year 1 will be continuing to recap the Basics 3 sounds. this week we will be focussing on reading and writing /ch/ /sh/ /th/ /ng/ /ai/ /ee/ /igh/ /oa/.

Maths - Year 2 will be ordering objects and numbers, counting in 2's, 5's and 10's, counting in 3's and continuing to develop their understanding of partitioning. 

Year 1 will be looking at numbers that are that have fewer, more or are the same, numbers that are less than, greater than and equal to and they will be comparing numbers. 

Art - We will be doing some continuous line drawings.

Science - Year 1 will be exploring taste and touch. Year 2 will be exploring reptiles and considering the basic needs for survival of humans.

Geography - We will be exploring where is Africa and Kenya on a map. Finding out some facts about Kenya.

Computing -  Year 1 will be practising logging in and searching on Purple Mash. Year 2 will be presenting ideas, typing and saving their work.

RE - We will be finding out about Sukkot.
