Christmas Play this week! 

Literacy- This week we will be planning and writing our own stories based on the polar regions and the books we have read. We will also be checking the reading and spelling of the common exception words.

Phonics - Year 2 will be revising alternative pronunciations and spellings of a, ou and o. We will be practising spelling our common exception words.

Year 1 this week we will be continuing with the basics 4. See learning leaflet below. 

Maths- Year 2 will be sorting 3D shapes and making patterns with 2D and 3D shapes. We will be revising some of the areas we have learnt over this half term.

Year 1 will be finishing learning about 2D and 3D shape. We will then begin to revisit the areas in maths which we found more challenging. 

Science - Year 1 will be investigating materials and beginning to discuss winter. Year 2 will be planning and carrying out an investigation about which material would be best for an umbrella for a teddy.

Design and Technology - On Monday we will spend the afternoon on our project to make a comfy chair for Baby Bear. If your child has any materials which they would like to use to make their structure please can they bring them in. This could include soft materials to help make it cosy.
