Last week before Christmas! - We will be making cards and doing some Christmas activities. Wednesday is the party. 

 

Literacy - This week we listening to some poetry. This week we will be using 'the sound collector'. We will be exploring nouns we hear are the school and during Christmas. We will be creating lines for a class play and performing it. 

 

Phonics - Year 2 will be revising the alternative pronunciation of y, ue and ch.

 

Year 1 have begun learing the basics 5 'choose you use' spellings. We have already learnt /ay/ and /ea/ and will this week learn /ie and /oe/. See learnng leaflet below.

 

Maths- Year 2 will be practising their adding and subtracting including word problems. Also, practising missing numbers. 

 

Year 1 will be practising part whole models number bonds up to and including 10.

 

Science - Year 2 will be considering the environmental impact of plastic. Year 1 will be concluding their learning about Winter
