Please bring a small non electric toy in from home to school. This will be used to draw and write about.

Literacy- This week we will be using the text 'Traction Man'. We will begin the week by sketching toys we bring in from home and writing statements to describe them. We will be writing questions to our friends to ask about their toys and writing questions home to ask our family about toys they used to play with. We will also be describing tractions man and answering some questions based on the book.

Phonics - Year 2 will be working on the spelling pattern where we change the y to an i and add es in school and revising spelling words where the y makes an igh sound.

Year 1 -

Maths- Year 2 will counting coins and notes, counting pounds and pence and practising making the same amount using different coins e.g. 47p. Please do get coins out at home and get counting!

Year 1 -

Science - Year 1will be looking at the seasonal changes in Winter. Year 2 will be exploring plants and identifying the parts of a plant.

Design and technology - The children will be exploring Jack in the boxes and seeing how they work.

Computing - Year 1 will be discussing how adverts work on devices and also seeing if they can log onto Purple Mash independently. Year 2 will be considering their online reputation and the use of emails (internal Purple Mash ones).

History - The children will be exploring toys today and family favourites. They will be writing about their favourite toys.

RE - The children will be considering what is a good deed?
