Literacy - This week we will be continuing to use the text 'Lost in the toy museum'. We will be writing full sentences about the toys in the museum and trying to replace the e.g. noun with other nouns. We will be orally retelling the story in pairs. We will be planning and writing a story based on the toy museum using adjectives to describe the toys.

Phonics - Year 2 will be learning the spelling pattern change the y to an i and add est and er. We will be practising this is our phonic lesson and spelling sessions. Please continue to practise their spellings and home and try some of the games / assignments on Spelling Shed.

Year 1 will be choosing to use the sounds /ir/ /ou/ and /aw/

Maths - Year 2 will be using arrays, making equal groups through grouping and then sharing, learning the 2 times tables and dividing by 2.

Year 1 will be finding and making number bonds to 20, doubles and near doubles, subtracting ones using number bonds and subtracting by counting backwards.

Science- Year 1 will be learning about amphibians and reptiles. Year 2 will be exploring their local area and recording observations from their investigation.

Computing - Year 1 will be creating a storybook animation and using some of the beebots. Year 2 will be developing their skills in coding.

History - We will be learning about important changes in toy manufacture over time, considering what toys were/are made from. We will be writing facts about toys in the past. 

Design and Technology - We will be making our boxes for our 'Jack in the Boxes' and decorating them as per our design.

PE - In gymnastics, we will be developing our skills to use the apparatus.
