Spring 2026

The first half term we will be exploring 'how have toys changed over the years?' We will be using high quality texts to support our literacy. We will be looking at old toys and comparing them to the ones today. We will be considering children in the past and how the richer and poorer children compared. We will creating a toy with a mechanism and developing our design and technology skills. We will be exploring abstract painting in art. In science exploring living things and their habitats (y2) and plants / seasonal changes (y1). We will be developing our computing skills through animated storybooks and moving robots (y1) and coding and digital photography (y2). During the second half term we will be exploring the different countries of the UK. We will be looking at food and where it comes from.
