I can't believe we've made it to the end of the Spring term!
I'm sure we are all looking forward to the Easter holidays and having some time to relax and recharge!
This week is still a busy one!
Tuesday - Yr 5 Forest School in the afternoon. Remember to wear PE kits and bring your Forest School clothes/coat/boots to change into at lunchtime.
Thursday - The last day of term - 11am Easter Service at St. Mary Church. Please join us at the church for our Easter service. Then in the afternoon we have our Easter Egg hunt!
Maths
Yr 4 - We have come to the end of all our units this term, so this week we will be revisiting some of the trickier concepts, solving word problems and also more times table practise!
Yr 5 - We are playing catch up for the lessons missed when we've been out in the forest. We have a few lessons left in our Statistics unit: two way tables and reading and interpreting timetables.
Literacy
We will be tying up all the loose end for this half term this week, plus a little spelling test!
Literacy in Maple Class
This week, we have one more Common Exception Word test to complete for this term. This final score will give us all targets to be working on for the Summer Term. We will do some handwriting practise this week too, as well as finishing the week with some Spring performance poetry.
Geography
Y3: It's all about tsunamis this week as we watch videos to see them in action, find out what causes them and seeing if we can spot a pattern with where they occur in the world.
Y4: We will be finding out how land is used in a settlement this week.
Y5: We will be comparing climates in Eastern Europe, as well as looking at our climate.
Science
Yr 3 - We will be learning about the eye and how we can see.
Yr 4 - Our new unit is 'Habitats'. We will begin by looking at the habitats of different living things.
Yr 5 - Last week we learnt about the human life cycle. This week we will be exploring the differences between babies and children.
