W/C 15th September
Tuesday - YR 4's will be going to the forest in the afternoon. They will need to wear their PE to school and have their forest clothes to change into at lunchtime. Please remember long legs, long sleeves, suitable boots and a coat.
Thursday - Weather permitted, we will be swimming on Thursday afternoon again.
Maths
Yr 5 - We will continue to explore numbers up to 1 million, partitioning, finding 1, 10, 100, 1000, 10,000 and 100,000 more or less and comparing and ordering numbers.
Literacy
This week we will be using the word bank that we created from last week to write a description of the Peggy Sue sailing through the rough weather. We will focus on the word classes and choosing vocabulary to enhance our writing.
Science
Yr 3 - We will be learning about the functions of the skeleton.
Yr 4 - We will be exploring vertebrates and invertebrates.
Yr 5 - We will be learning about air resistance and begin to plan our parachute investigation.
History
Yr 4 - We will be finding our about Alex the Great. Who was he? What did he do that was so 'great'? We will be finding out about his empire and civilization.
Yr 5 - We will be exploring the graves of Anglo-Saxon women. What grave goods were discovered here? What was found at Sutton Hoo?
Art
This week we will be exploring 3 dimensions using lego.
Computing
Yr 4 - We will be writing code to form letters using Logo.
Yr 5 - Continuing to create vectar drawing using the resize tool
RE
We will be exploring the words from David, Isaiah and John and see how they describe God and identify the things that he does and doesn't do.
