Literacy

The children have been editing their stories, adding conjunctions to improve and enhance their sentences. This week, they will be publishing their stories to create a class book. 

Maths

We are working through Addition and Subtraction units this week. Year 3s are learning to add and subtract across 1s, 10s and 100s. Year 4s are learning how to add and subtract, with and without an exchange with 4 digit numbers. 

RE

We will be exploring how Christians care for creation in their daily lives. We will then reflect on how we can care for our community and those around in our every day lives. 

Computing

Year 3s are learning how to use the 'repeat' command in Coding. 

Year 4s are learning how to use the 'repeat' command in the Logo program. 

History

Y3: We are learning about Skara Brae this week and its importance in learning about the Stone Age. 

Y4: We will be finding out about the Olympics by looking carefully at ancient Greek pots. We will compare the Olympics then with now. 

Y5: We will be learning about the importance of Anglo Saxon buildings including churches and what we can learn from them. 

Art

The children have done such a great job at planning their stories in their sketch books. this week we will be drawing our stories into our own cartoon strip concertina books. I will be sure to post photos onto the class Dojo to show off their creative achievements!
