Literacy

This week we will be planning and writing a short story based on our text, 'Journey'. We will be pulling together all the skills we were learning last week, as well as using emotions and imagery. 

Maths

This week we are partitioning numbers in different ways. 

RE

We will be enquiring further into the concept of creation by asking, 'Are humans created by God?' This will be a good opportunity to discuss what we all believe and compare with the Christian beliefs around creation. 

Computing

Y3: We will be logging into Purple Mash and exploring our assignments. 

Y4: We will be introducing coding through Scratch and Purple Mash. 

History

Y3: Cave art - we will be asking, 'Are cave paintings reliable sources of evidence?' What can we learn from them about life in the stone age?

Y4: We will be finding our about Alex the Great. Who was he? What he do that was so 'great'? We will be finding out about his empire and civilization. 

Y5: We will be exploring the graves of Anglo-Saxon women. What grave goods were discovered here? What was found at Sutton Hoo?

Art

Now we have studied our key artists for the half term, we will using our ideas inspired by these artists to create our own stories through drawings.
