Literacy
This week we are planning and drafting our final non-chronological report. The children have worked so hard on deciding what to write about and now their reports are coming to life. Once the final draft has been written, the children will begiven the opportunity to edit their work before we publish these next week.
Maths
Year 3 and 4 are learning about perimeter and how to measure the perimeter of 2d shapes.
RE
We are finding out more about the Islamic Holy Book, the Qur'an.
Computing
We will be focusing on Internet Safety this week and next, making sure we all know how to stay safe online. This will include looking at which games and platforms we use at home to ensure we are only accessing age appropriate content on the internet.
History
Y3: We are learning how to write like an Egyptian this week using hieroglyphs.
Y4: We will be looking closely at Greek clay pots and other artefacts to learn about the first Olympics.
Y5: We will be learning about Viking law this week and comparing it to British laws and punishments.
Art:
Now we have created our collages, we will be adding more detail using a technique called monoprinting. Using carbon paper, oil pastels and pencils, we will be adding more detail and pictures and patterns on top of our collages.
