Literacy

We will be planning and writing our free writing this week. Using the skills we have learned this half term, the children will be given the opportunity to write a piece of writing of their choice. It could be a letter, or a story, a non-chronological report or another genre of writing. The subject matter is their choice as well.

 

Maths

We are at the end of our current units so this week, we will be completing the Spring Term maths assessments for arithmetic, problem solving and reasoning. 

 

RE

With Easter round the corner, we will be looking at how we celebrate Easter in our own families and designing Easter cards to share with our loved ones. 

 

Computing

This week, we will focus on internet safety whilst we complete our end of unit assessments. 

 

DT

We have almost finished our pencil cases now so this week, we will be evaluating our own and each other's final pieces. 

 

Geography

Y3: We will be finding out about tornados this week. 

Y4: We will be designing our own settlements this week using what we already know about what settlers need. 

Y5:We will be finding out what happened in Chernobyl.
