Literacy:

This week we are focusing in on the features of a non-chronological report. We will spend a lesson looking at examples of reports and identifying the features. We will then move on to learning about headings, subheadings and paragraphs. 

 

Maths:

We are all starting our new units on length and perimeter. The year 3s are learning about equivalent measures of cms, metres and mms. Year 4 are extending their understanding of measuring length by learning about finding the perimeter of different shapes. 

 

Computing:

Year 3s are completing their own branching databases this week. 

Year 4s are experimenting with pitch and melody when making their own pieces of music. 

 

RE:

We are learning about Muslim festivals this week. 

 

History

Y3: We are looking at King Tutunkhamen this week. 

Y4: We are comparing Athens and Sparta. 

Y5: We will be exploring Viking life. 

 

Art: We will be finishing our collages this week in the style of Matisse.
