Maths

Yr 5 - Beginning with our Place Value unit, we will be looking at Roman Numerals up to 1,000 before moving onto exploring numbers up to 1,000,000.

Literacy

To begin our learning journey in Literacy we will be exploring the text, Kensukes Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo. We will read the first few chapters, exploring the characters and the beginning of the story. We will be revising different word classes and identifying nouns, verbs and adjectives from the text.

Science

Yr 3 - Our unit to begin our KS2 journey is 'Skeletons'. We will be identifying and naming bones in the human body.

Yr 4 - Group and classify living things - grouping animals.

Yr 5 - Our first lesson in our Forces unit is all about friction.

Art

In Art this half term, we will be exploring form through drawing. This week we will be exploring the work of Henry Moore and his shelter drawings. We will then create some continuous line drawings of cupped hands to explore the word 'concave' and what this means in relation to form. 

Computing

Yr 4 - This half term we will be Coding using Scratch. We will be generating questions and quizzes. This week we will be looking at different types of questions.

Yr 5 - We will be Vector Drawing this half term. 

RE

Our big question this half term is: WHAT DOES IT MEAN IF GOD IS HOLY AND LOVING?
