Monday is Easter Monday so it is a Bank Holiday.

Tuesday is an INSET day.

Literacy - This week we will be using the book 'When the Dragon's came'. We will be creating our own section to the story and creating a class version of the book to share. We will also be answering some comprehension questions based on the story.

Phonics - Year 2 will be adding the suffix ness to words to develop their understanding of suffixes. We will also be revising our understanding of words where you need to double to consonant and add a suffix.

Year 1 will be continuing to learn the 'Switch it Spell Sounds'. this week we will focus on /a/ which can make 3 different sounds eg. ant, angel, wash. 

Maths - Year 2 will be beginning our unit on fractions. We will be introducing part and whole, recognising equal and unequal parts and recognising half. 

Year 1 will be beginning our unit on multiplication and division. This week we will be counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. 

Science - Year 1 will be labelling parts of plants and parts of trees. Year 2 will be looking at bulbs and seeds and exploring what plants needs to grow well.

Art - We will be drawing photos of birds.

History - We will talk about family trees and a sheet will be coming home for you to explore your family tree at home.

Computing - We will begin by discussing an aspect of online safety and reminding ourselves about how to stay safe online and our trusted adults.

RE - We will begin to explore our big question 'Why is the Torah such a joy for the Jewish community?'

PSHE- We will be discussing family and friends and the relationships we have with them.
