Forest school Tuesday for year 1.
Literacy- This week we will be using a range of poems about dragons. We will be reciting some poems and writing poems using poems we have read as a model. We will be using adjectives to describe the dragons and year 2 will be learning about the possessive apostrophe e.g. the dragon's nose.
Phonics - Year 2 will be learning the spelling pattern le, el, al and il. They will also be revising their common exception words.
Year 1 will be recapping the split digraphs a-e and e-e.
Maths - Year 2 will be recognising 3/4, finding 3/4, counting in fractions to a whole, finding fractions of numbers and solving problems involving fractions.
Year 1 will be making equal groups, making equal groups by sharing and recognising half an object or shape.
History - We will be finding out about the life and secrets of Richard III.
Science - Year 1 will be investigating trees in the local area. Year 2 will be investigating the life cycle of a mammal.
Art - They will be manipulating paper from from 2D to £D.
Computing - Year 1 will be creating digital pictures of castles. Year 2 will be continuing to develop their skills making quizzes.
