Summer Term 2025

This term we will be 'Castles'. During the first half term we will be learning about Kings and Queens, including the role of the monarch, comparing a few, exploring the role of a castle in the past and visiting Arundel Castle in a local study. We will then move on to exploring seasides and the human and physical features, exploring maps and aerial views and seasides in the past and present. We will also be hopefully going on a trip to the beach. 

We will be using a range of high quality texts to develop our writing. In art we will be making bird sculptures and in design and technology we will be making a sewn hand puppet. In science we will be finding more about plants and year 2 will be exploring life cycles and year 1 be exploring more about the seasons. 

This term is an exciting one as swimming starts in the second half term. Year 1 have forest schools during the first half term. 

We also have sports day and hopefully sunny weather so we can enjoy our lovely field!
