Literacy -This week we will be writing a non fiction piece of writing about knights and castles. We will be finding out about them, brainstorming adjectives about them, writing questions and answering them.

Phonics/ spellings - Year 2 will be looking at the spelling pattern le, el, al, il and checking how many of our year 2 common exception words we know.

Year 1 will be revisiting phase 3, 4 and 5 words. They will be writing words using these sounds and readinf reral and non-sense words.

Maths- Year 2 will be starting a unit on time. We will be telling the time on an analogue clock to the O'Clock, half past, quarter past and to, telling the time past and to and if we are ready to move onto the 5 minute intervals. If you can refer to the clock at how at the easier to read times.

Year 1 will be starting a new topic in maths, fractions. This week they will be finding recognising and finding half of a shape and recognising and finding half of a quantity. 

History - We will be comparing Queen Victoria to Queen Elizabeth II.

Science - Year 1 will be observing changes in summer and year 2 will be exploring the life cycle of amphibians.

Art - We will be beginning to make our sculptures of birds.

Computing - Year 1 will be continuing their digital pictures started last week. Year 2 will be continuing to develop their digital quizzes.
