Welcome back. 

We hope you have all had a lovely half term break and ready for the busy run up to Christmas.

This week we will begin rehearsals for our production. Please make sure you assist your child in learning any lines taht they have.

 

Maths

Yr 4 - This half term our unit is Multiplication and Division. To being with we will be exploring 3, 6 and 9 multiplication and division facts.

Yr 5 - This term we will be exploring Fractions. This week we will be finding equivalent fractions to unit and non unit fractions and converting mixed numbers to and from improper fractions.

 

Literacy

This week we will be using collective nouns within out writing.

 

Science
Yr 3 - Our new unit to begin with is all abour our Nutrition and Diet. To begin with we will be learning about different food groups.

Yr 4 - We will be planning an investigation about melting. 

Yr 5 - We will be learning about gears, pulleys and levers.

We will do our DT unit later in the term over a few days rather than each week.
