This week is going to be jam-packed full of Christmas excitement!
* We have our play on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in the village hall.
* Please remember to bring school shoes to wear on Tuesday afternoon, and school trousers if these are part of your child's costume. PE kits to be worn in the morning as normal. Thursday the children will be wearing school uniform as normal so this should be easier to remember!
* No forest schools for Year 3 on Tuesday.
On Wednesday and Thursday mornings, we will be having our DT mornings. The children will be making moveable greetings cards, using levers and linkages.
Literacy
This week, the children are publishing their non-chronological reports. They will choose how they want to present the information, either as a leaflet or as a poster.
Maths
Year 3s are dividing by 8 this week.
Year 4s are making good progress with their times tables knowledge.
RE
We will be learning about a famous illustrator called Annie Vallotton who drew the pictures for the Children's Good News Bible. We will be asking, 'How do people show the gospel is good news for them?'
Computing
We are finishing our Christmas play posters today using publishing software. The children will be adding the last few pieces of text and pictures to make their posters appealing to their audience.
Geography
Y3: We are finishing our UK unit by looking at Our Changing Nation. How has the UK changed over time? And why?
Y4: We will be learning about different time zones this week and why we have them.
Y5: We will be considering mountain travel this week and what attracts tourists to mountain ranges.
