The Easter service is 1.15 Thursday and the Easter Egg hunt will be in the afternoon!

INSET DAY FRIDAY

Literacy - This week we will be writing instructions for making some Easter activities. The children will be planning and writing their own fact file about an animal or their choice. At home you could research an animal so they have knowledge about an animal for their writing.

Phonics - Year 2 will be doubling the consonant and adding ing and spelling words where the o makes an u sound like other.

Year 1 will be learning the final phase 5 sounds, /dge/  and /er/

Maths - Year 2 will be completing their unit on weight, capacity and volume. They will also be practising their arithmetic and word problems. If we get time we will be able to have another go onTTRS.

Year 1 in maths this week will be learning about mass. We will be using balance scales to weigh items using blocks. 

Science  -Year 2 will be revising their learning over this half term on living things and their habitats. Year 1 will be looking at the Spring data they collected.

Art - The children will be gestural mark making using acrylic paint and sharing and reviewing the art they have completed over this half term.

Geography - We will be recapping what we have learnt about the 4 countries in the UK.
