Tuesday is Forest School for year 1.

Literacy -  This week we will be completing our owl fact file. We will be continuing to read 'The Owl who was afraid of the dark'.  We will be planning and writing our own chapters for the book. We will also be writing letters to Plop's mum pretending to be Plop and answering questions about the book.

Phonics - Year 2 will be learning the spelling pattern where you drop the e and add er and est. We will also be practising the common exception words.

Year 1 will be learning  /ey/ and /y/ that makes an /ee/ sound. 

Maths - Year 2 will be comparing mass, measuring in grams, measuring in kg, solving problems involving the four operations with mass and comparing volume and capacity.

Year 1 will be finding 1 more and 1 less of numbers to 50 before moving on to our new maths topic, length and height. 

Science- Year 1 will be considering how to care for the planet. Year 2 will be exploring food chains.

Geography - This week we will be finding about the country of Scotland as it is part of the UK.

PE - In dance we will be performing our circus dances to the other half of the class.
