Forest school this Tuesday for year 2.

Literacy - This week we will be planning and writing a piece of independent writing. We might choose to write a story or write a non fiction fact file about a rainforest animal.

Phonics- We will be adding ness to root words. We will also be revising the phonics we know and seeing if we how well we know our common exception words.

Year 1 will be learning more switch it spell sounds. This week we will focus on the /a/ angel/wasp/ and /ou/ cloud/boulder.

Maths- Year 2 will be measuring capacity, solving problems involving the 4 operations and volume and capacity and reading thermometers to measure temperature. We will be pracitising our times tables as well. 

Year 1 will be measuring capacity and comparing capacity. 

Geography- We will be exploring aerial views of Brazil and the Amazon. We will also be considering how to protect our environment. 

Science - Year 2 will be reflecting on their learning about animals and their habitats. Year 1 will be exploring changes in Spring.

Design and Technology - We will be making and evaluating our own moving picture.

Computing- Year 1 will be developing their skills on 2go and year 2 considering is a photo real or AI?

Extra - We will be making an Easter card using our DT skills learnt this half term and enjoying our Easter egg hunt!
